Directions
East Midlands Airport is located virtually right in the heart of England, with Nottingham, Loughborough and Derby all within a 30-minute drive. The airport is easily accessed from all parts of the UK, with the main M1 motorway running right past the airport.
From the north: take the M1 southbound, passing Nottingham and Long Eaton, and exiting west at Junction 24 before the city of Loughborough. From the motorway, follow Ashby road all the way to the airport.
From the south: take the M1 northbound, passing Leicester and Loughborough before exiting the M1 at Junction 23A. Continue north along the motorway slip road and then turn left (west) onto Ashby road for the airport.
From the east: from Peterborough and an easterly direction, head west along the A47 for Leicester, bypass the city on a heading for the M1 and then join the M1 at Junction 22 (north). Continue north on the M1, exiting onto Ashby road at Junction 23A for East Midlands Airport.
From the west: the main A50 road comes in from a westerly direction and the city of Stoke-on-Trent. Continue east along the A50 until its end at the M1 Junction 24 and then head south and east on Ashby road for the airport.
