Facilities
Facilities at East Midlands Airport are extensive and well laid out, with essential currency exchange booths in both Arrivals and Departures, and cash machines (ATMs) in the main atrium in Arrivals. In addition, the information desk also takes care of lost property and has basic business facilities, while first-aid and nursing rooms, and children’s arcades have also been installed. There is also a good variety of cafés and restaurants on-site including a traditional English pub, while good shopping can be had throughout the terminal building.
Money: passengers will have no problems exchanging currency at East Midlands Airport, with international currency exchange facilities available in both the Arrivals and Departures areas of the terminal building. Cash machines can also be found in the Arrivals area.
Services: the airport’s information desk is located in the main hall and is operational 24 hours. It offers fax, photocopying and lost property services, and the airport chaplain can also be contacted here. In addition, a first-aid room is located in Departures, along with a nursery, children’s video arcade room and a kids’ club.
Smoking: it is now an offence to smoke in enclosed public areas in the UK, a policy which East Midlands Airport (EMA) adheres to. Smokers can spark up outside the terminal building.
