Parking

There are short-term, mid-term and long-term car parks at East Midlands Airport, with enough spaces to accommodate up to 4,000 vehicles. Courtesy shuttles provide access to the terminal from the mid-term and long-term car parks, which can be pre-booked, while the short-term car park has its own drop-off and pick-up point, where 30 minutes free parking is available.

Short term: the short-term car park is located adjacent to the terminal building and is best for stays of less than one day. The car park is situated within easy walking distance of the terminal and it has a pick-up, drop-off point, which is free for the first 30 minutes. There is no pre-booking system in place for the short-term car park. Patrons can pay by credit card on exit from the car park for added convenience.

Mid term: there are four mid-term car parks at East Midland Airport, which are also known as Executive car parks. These car parks are ideal for stays of up to four days. Although these car parks are within walking distance of the terminal, courtesy shuttles are provided. For great savings, car park 1 can be pre-booked online or by calling: +44 870 737 0778 at least 24 hours in advance. The mid-term car parks can also be paid for by credit card.

Long term: the long-term car park is for passengers who plan on parking for five days or more and can also be pre-booked online or by calling: +44 870 737 0778. We recommend that you book your long-term parking in order to take advantage of substantial savings and to avoid disappointment during busy holiday periods. We also recommend that you allow plenty of time in your travel schedule if you are planning to park here to allow for the extra time spent on the shuttle bus journey to the terminal entrance.

Special needs: special needs drivers who hold disabled persons’ badges can make use of the short-term car park at medium-term and long-term car park rates, where dedicated spaces have been allocated. Assistance points have also been installed next to the dedicated disabled parking spaces, although you should call your airline ahead of time to arrange for assistance from the car park to the terminal.
