Shopping and eating
Restaurants and bars: East Midlands Airport has an excellent selection of cafés and restaurants in all public areas of the terminal building including a food court, snack bars and fast-food joints. In the Check-in area, you will find the Caffé Ritazza and Costa Coffee, while Departures also has a Caffé Ritazza outlet as well as a Burger King and the Trent and Meden food halls. There is also a traditional English pub on-site.
Convenience items: there is plenty of shopping choices at East Midlands Airport, on both sides of security. There is a pharmacy as well as book, music, cosmetics, jewellery, clothing and toy shops, and even a convenience store in Arrivals, with essential household items on offer. World News outlets are positioned on either side of security and there is also a Boots in the main concourse.
Duty free shopping: Alpha duty free has a huge range of products available in the Departures lounge and it is split into two sections, one of which serves passengers travelling outside of the EU and the other for all passengers. Passengers travelling outside of the EU have the best deal, with tax-free prices available on all items including tobacco and alcohol. Skincare products, jewellery, music, electronics and travel-related goods are also on sale at the Alpha store.
