Directions
Glasgow Prestwick Airport is situated 30 miles southwest of Glasgow on the Clyde coast. For those who are driving here, major roads provide access from Glasgow, with the M74 motorway providing fast access to the English border.
From the north: head southwest on the M77 motorway from Glasgow. Merge with the A77 and continue heading southwest towards Prestwick and Ayr. Turn right onto the A78 and then left onto the A79 before Prestwick for the airport.
From the south: head north on the M74 motorway from the English border. Take Junction 8 and exit from the M74 onto the A71 (west) on a heading for Ayr and Prestwick. Bypass Kilmarnock and then follow the A77, A78 and A79 to Glasgow Prestwick Airport.
From the east: take the A76 from Dumfries and then the A70 west to Ayr from Holmhead. Turn right onto the A77 and then continue north along this road before following the B743 and A79 to Prestwick Airport.
