Business, VIP & Wifi
As a major business and tourist hub Birmingham Airport caters well to the communication needs of business people, offering wifi throughout the terminals (in fact it was one of Britain’s first back in 2002). Private business facilities are also offered in Terminal 1.
Business centres: business booths are found in Terminal 1 Departures Lounge, providing private workstations (free for passengers) with credit card operated telephone, e-mail, modem, power points and fax facilities. Meeting rooms are also available in Terminal 1, accommodating up to 40 people. UK Explorer internet desks with pay-as-you-go email and web services are also available throughout the airport.
Meeting rooms: these are provided in Terminal 1 and can be pre-booked by calling: +44 (0) 121 767 8063. Each room is suitable for up to forty people.
VIP: also within the Terminal 1 Departure Lounge are five Executive Lounges, two of which are run by handling agents Aviance and Servisair for their customer’s airlines. Business facilities and services are available in these lounges.
Internet: an internet café is found in each of the terminals. Both terminals are now fully wired with commercial wifi and can be accessed from all main passenger lounges and areas. No pre-arrangements are necessary, access can be arranged immediately through the provider by paying with credit card when a signal is found by your device. Many of the hotels in the airport area also offer full broadband as standard in their rooms, and wireless in the restaurants of some.
