Directions
Cardiff International Airport (CWL) is located 12 miles to the southwest of Wales’ capital city, Cardiff, and it serves western England and South Wales. Although there is no direct motorway access connecting the airport with Cardiff, Port road and the A48 provide good access.
From the north : take the M5 motorway south and exit at Junction 15 onto the M4 heading west. Bypass Cardiff on a heading for Swansea and exit at Junction 33 (south) onto the A4232. Keep heading south on the A4050 and the A4226 for Cardiff International Airport (CWL).
From the south: the M5 motorway approaches Bristol from southwest England. Bypass Bristol and take the M49 and the M4 west and then the M48 New Severn Bridge on a heading for Swansea. Exit at Junction 33 (south) onto the A4232 and head south along the A4050 and the A4226 for Cardiff International Airport (CWL).
From the east: from London, the M4 motorway runs direct to Cardiff; bypass Cardiff and exit south onto the A4232 at Junction 33. The A4050 and the A4226 (southwest) provide access to the airport.
From the west : the M4 motorway approaches from the east, providing access to southwest Wales and Swansea. Take the M4 motorway east as far as Junction 33 and then exit south onto the A4232, A4050 and the A4226 for Cardiff Airport .
