Located to the southwest of Cardiff, Cardiff International Airport is Wales’ premier airport, handling 1.5 million yearly passengers through its one terminal. Cardiff International operates flights to destinations throughout the UK and Europe, and as far afield as Toronto and Vancouver in Canada.
Cardiff International Airport has good passenger facilities including fax and photocopying facilities at the Information Desk on the first floor, three bureaux de change as well as cash machines scattered throughout. A variety of shops can be found on both floors of the terminal including duty-free shopping, which is available in the Departure Lounge, while a food court area and a traditional pub provide sustenance. Other facilities at Cardiff International Airport (CWL) include two game zones for children and a baby care room.
Transport options from Cardiff International Airport to Cardiff and away include regular local buses, an airport shuttle bus (Airbus), National Express coaches and a new rail line that connects the airport with the city centre. Taxis also run 24 hours a day to and from the city and its hotels.
