Facilities
Previously called Speke Airport, Liverpool John Lennon International Airport serves more than three million passengers per year and has all modern facilities and services to deal with this number of passengers comfortably. Essential facilities include five moneychangers, cash machines (ATMs) on every floor, comprehensive disabled facilities and baby-changing rooms. There are cafés, restaurants and shops throughout the terminal building including a substantial duty-free store in Departures, while children’s arcades are also on-site.
Money: the airport’s Travelex moneychangers are well dispersed and can be found opposite the check-in desks on the main concourse of the ground floor, in Arrivals and in Departures on the first floor. There is also a moneychanger situated on the second floor, where most of the airport’s facilities are. Cash machines are also on every floor of the terminal building.
Services: the information desk at Liverpool John Lennon International Airport is conveniently located on the main concourse, on the ground floor of the terminal building, and is open during airport opening hours, while a multi-faith prayer room is located on the second floor, next to the elevators. In addition, children will be happy to learn that video amusement arcades can be found before and after security.
Smoking: UK law now deems it an offence to smoke in enclosed public areas and as a result, there is a no smoking policy at Liverpool John Lennon International Airport.
