Transportation
London Stansted Airport is served by an excellent transport infrastructure which provides connections to central London, from where national connections can be made. A rail link, shuttles, regional buses and taxis are all available from the terminal.
Rail and metro: the Stansted Express rail service serves the airport, providing connections between the airport’s station, which is located beneath the terminal, and London Liverpool Street Station. At peak times of the day, trains run at 15 minute intervals and at 30 minute intervals at all other times. The average journey time from the airport to the city is 40 minutes.
Shuttles and buses: a number of shuttle and public bus services are available from the airport to the city, with hourly services to London Victoria Coach Station operated by Terravision shuttle. Other options include services by Arriva and Airbus to North London, while Jetlink services serve local towns. National Express coaches provide services to an extensive number of UK cities.
Taxi and limo: taxis can be booked from the Checkercars reservation desk in International Arrivals or via one of the free phones on hand, following which passengers can await collection outside the terminal building. Royal Silver Service, ChauffeurExec and Grosvenor Carriages provide limousines for those wanting to travel in style and can be booked ahead or on arrival.
