Directions
London City Airport is situated a mere six miles from the centre of London and can be accessed via a number of motorways and major roads including the M1, M3, M4, M20, M23, M24 and the M40 motorways.
From the north: passengers coming from the north can take either the M1 or the M11 motorway, or alternatively the A1 major road before joining the M25. Follow the M25 east, exiting at Junction 27 onto the M11 south. From the M11, take the lane that merges into the A406, A13 and A112 roads, which then leads directly to the airport.
From the south: take the M23 motorway onto the M25 ring road and head clockwise before exiting at Junction 2 onto the A2 west. From the A2 west, take the A220, A207 and then the A205, passing through Crayford and concluding at the Woolwich free ferry. Take the ferry crossing and then join the A1011, which leads to the airport.
From the east: take the A13 to the city centre before heading south on the A112, which becomes the Hartman road. From here, you can follow Hartman road directly to the airport.
From the west: take the M4 motorway towards the city centre, merging with the A4 to Mayfair. From the A4, take the A302, A3211 and the A13 as far as Canning Town Station. From here, the A1011 provides direct access to the airport.
