Transportation
London City Airport is well served by public and private transport; buses and trains provide regular and reliable connections with the city, while taxis are ideal for those wanting door to door service. Limousines are available for VIP passengers and those looking to experience a little luxury.
Rail and metro: connections with the city centre can be made via the Docklands Light Railway, which is easily accessible from the airport and runs to Canning Street Station. From here, the London Underground rail system provides connections to destinations across the city, while the national rail network is also accessible.
Shuttles and buses: public bus services provide regular connections to various destinations in the city. The two services on hand are the 473 and 474, the former serving Stratford, Silvertown, North Woolwich and Prince Regent Station and the latter serving Canning Town, North Woolwich and East Beckton via Silvertown. Meanwhile, airport shuttles offer connections to Canary Wharf and Liverpool Street Station among other major destinations. Services operate every 10 minutes from Monday to Friday and every 15 minutes at weekends.
Taxi and limo: a taxi rank is located outside the terminal building and is served by London black cabs, which operate on metered fare systems. Reservations can be made online or by calling: +44 7957 696 673. Meanwhile, passengers looking to travel in style and luxury will find a number of limousine companies operating from the airport including Royal Silver Service, Grosvenor Carriages and ChauffeurExec.
