Directions to Gatwick Airport
London Gatwick International Airport is situated south of the city in Sussex and can be reached easily via the M23 motorway. England's well-designed motorway network allows for easy connections with the M23 from all points of the compass.
From the north: the M1 provides access to London from the north. Once in London, follow signs for the M23 motorway. Take the M23 as far as Junction 9, at which point you need to exit and follow the signs for the airport.
From the south: the A23 runs south of the city of London and connects with the M23. Once on the M23, follow it as far as Junction 9 before exiting and following the well-signposted route to the airport.
From the east: the A47 provides access to London via the M1; the A11 provides access via the M11; while the A14 connects with the A12 and the M25. Once in the city, follow signs for the M23. Exit the M23 at Junction 9 and follow the signs to the airport.
From the west: the M54 motorway comes in from the west and connects with the M1, which leads to the city. Once in London, follow signs for the M23, which you should take as far as Junction 9, and then follow the signs to the airport.
