ated some 25 miles south of central London, in the county of Sussex, Gatwick International Airport is the second biggest air travel facility serving England's capital city. With an annual passenger throughput in excess of 30 million, it ranks amongst the busiest airports in the world. The airport operates two terminals and is something of a hub for transatlantic carriers British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
Business travellers flying into or out of London Gatwick will find business facilities at the nearby London Gatwick Hilton Hotel, while the VIP Servisair and Aviance lounges at the airport are amply equipped to provide all the comforts you might need prior to a flight, meeting or job interview. The airport has an impressive résumé of services and amenities intended to make travel and waiting times as comfortable and trouble-free as possible. Shopping and dining establishments are plentiful, while essentials such as bureaux de change and ATMs can be found in both of the airport’s terminals. Information services are comprehensive and accessible throughout the airport.
The Gatwick Express rail service provides the speediest and most efficient means of connecting with the city, with services running every 15 minutes at peak times. Alternatively, coaches and shuttle buses provide connections with central London as well as destinations beyond. Taxis are readily available from outside the terminal buildings.
