Directions to Heathrow Airport
London Heathrow Airport is located about 15 miles west of London, near the M4 motorway and the M25 ring road. The terminal exits are well signposted from the M4, with terminals 1, 2 and 3 accessible from Junction 4 and Terminal 4 accessible from Junction 3.
From the north: take the M1 motorway south and then the M25 ring road west and south on a heading for Guildford. Exit the M25 onto the M4 east at Junction 15 and then exit the M4 at Junction 4 for terminals 1, 2 and 3, or exit at Junction 3 for Terminal 4.
From the south: take the M25 north in a clockwise direction and exit onto the M4 east at Junction 15. Heathrow Airport is just a few miles from junctions 4 and 3, and is well signposted.
From the east: from central London, the M4 provides access to London Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4 via Junction 3, while Junction 4 provides access to terminals 1, 2 and 3. In addition, the A4 runs directly to terminals 1, 2 and 3 from central London and the A4 and the A30 (southwest) run to Terminal 4.
From the west: the M4 and M40 motorways approach from the west of England and join the M25 ring road. If you are travelling on the M4, continue east towards central London and take junctions 3 or 4 for the airport. The M40 meets with the M25 ring road at one junction north of the M4. Continue south along the M25 and take Junction 15 onto the M4 east for the airport.
