Facilities at Heathrow Airport
Passengers facilities at London Heathrow Airport include bureaux de change and cash machines throughout all four terminals, along with public telephones, wall-mounted pay fax machines, Wifi internet access, left luggage and lost property offices, a chapel, health centre and postal services. Heathrow Airport also has many pharmacies and comes with an excellent supply of cafés, restaurants, snack bars, coffee shops, bars, lounges and an array of shops.
Money: passengers will find bureaux de change booths before and after security in each of the four terminals at London Heathrow Airport as well as conveniently located cash machines. Travelex currency exchange booths generally open from 05:30 to 22:00, while ICE exchange booths usually open slightly later, closing about 21:00.
Services: there is a left luggage facility and postal services in the Arrivals and Departures areas of all four terminals at London Heathrow Airport, apart from the Departures area of Terminal 3, which does not have a left luggage facility. Left luggage offices generally open from 06:00 to 23:00 and there is also a central lost property office on-site.
Smoking: in enclosed public areas in the UK is now against the law, although Heathrow Airport has set aside special rooms for smoking. Smoking rooms can be found in the following areas of London Heathrow Airport: the Departures area of Terminal 1, near the WH Smith outlet; near the Costa Coffee outlets in the Arrivals and Departures areas of Terminal 2; three smoking areas in Terminal 3 Departures and one in Arrivals; and near WH Smith in Terminal 4 Arrivals as well as designated points in the airport’s VIP lounges.
