Transportation
A fairly solid ground transportation infrastructure serves the needs of arriving passengers and those bound for the airport by road from other destinations. Buses, taxis and coaches comprise the most significant options.
Rail and metro: there is no train station serving Manchester International Airport; however, regular bus services provide connections with Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station, from where both national and regional services are available.
Shuttles and buses: public buses operated by Stagecoach, Arriva and Trent provide services to a variety of destinations in the Manchester, Greater Manchester and Cheshire areas. National Express coach company offers services to a large number of major UK cities. All buses depart from Terminal 1 International Arrivals and from Terminal 2 Arrivals.
Taxi and limo: taxis are available from outside the Arrivals areas of all three terminals. Taxis serving the airport are all licenced and journeys are metered.
