Directions
From the north: take the A1 or the A697 until it joins with the A1 south. Continue until you meet the A696 junction, at which point take a right onto the A1 Newcastle bypass. Follow the road in a northwesterly direction for approximately two miles until you reach the airport, which will be on your right hand side.
From the south: take the London to Edinburgh A1 highway as far as the A696 junction, at which point take a left onto the A1 Newcastle bypass. Follow the road in a northwesterly direction for approximately two miles until you reach the airport on your right hand side.
From the east: from the South Shields area, take the A194, A184 and the A167 west, bypassing Newcastle to the north. At the main A1 junction, cross over onto the A696 northwest and follow the road until you reach the airport, which will be on the right hand side.
From the west: from Carlisle, take the A69 towards Newcastle. Before reaching the city, head north and take a left turn onto the B6323. Follow the airport signs before taking another left turn onto the A696 and then a right turn into the airport grounds.
