Ground links with the city and beyond are well established, reliable and regular, with public buses and the Metro rail service providing the cheapest options. Taxis are on hand to provide door-to-door transport, while passengers wishing to splash out and travel in style can book chauffeur driven limousines.

Rail and metro: Newcastle International Airport is not served by its own train station; however, the Metro line station is a rapid light rail service that connects the airport with the city centre at frequent intervals throughout the day. From Newcastle Central Station, there are connections to a host of major UK cities.

Shuttles and buses: regular bus services connect the airport with Newcastle city centre, Gateshead Metro Centre and Blyth. At peak times, services operate at 20-minute intervals. National Express operates coach services to Newcastle and a large number of other significant UK destinations.

Taxi and limo: a booking desk operated by the Airport Taxi Association is located in the Arrivals Hall of the terminal and it is the best place to head if you require a taxi to the city. Parkers Execulink offer a chauffeur driven limousine service to Newcastle destinations and can be booked at the desk located within the terminal.
