Transportation
A variety of ground transfer options are on offer at Southampton Airport, with the nearby train station providing the speediest and most efficient means of connecting with the city centre. Public buses are also available, while passengers wanting comfort and convenience can take an airport taxi direct to their destination.
Rail and metro: a train station serves the airport and is situated just a few minutes walk from the terminal building. The station provides onward connections to London Waterloo Station as well as to other regional and national destinations.
Shuttles and buses: for public bus services, the number 101 bus runs between the airport, city centre and Southampton University. Meanwhile, private shuttle services operate to the city and various regional locations. From the city, coaches operated by National Express run to most major English cities.
Taxi and limo: taxis operated by Airportcarz taxi service are available 24 hours from the airport. Cabs can be booked at the company's office, which is situated directly opposite Arrivals, while taxi drivers make pick ups at the taxi stand outside, to the left of the terminal.
